The qualification will allow him signing off statutory valuation report in PRC issued by a licensed valuation firm in the PRC. More importantly, it sharpens the edge of Valtech in providing generally accepted valuation opinion and the team ability to solve and opine on complicated valuation issues by truly passed qualification exams and criteria globally.
Max Tsang is a seasoned valuation professional with a uniquely broad credential set across accounting, valuation, markets, and risk: CFA, FRM, CPA (HKICPA), ACCA, MRICS, ABV (by AICPA). This combination lets him integrate IVS standards with IFRS/HKFRS and US-GAAP fair-value requirements for businesses and intangibles—grounded in capital-markets and risk fluency.
Max focuses on cross-border transactions and financial reporting, including purchase price allocations (IFRS 3/ASC 805), goodwill and asset impairments (IAS 36/ASC 350), fair-value measurement and disclosure (IFRS 13/ASC 820), share-based payment and complex instruments (IFRS 2/ASC 718), and independent opinions for circulars, connected transactions, and special situations. Having worked extensively with international companies with wide range of backgrounds and international investors, he translates between requirements in PRC, IFRS/HKFRS, and US-GAAP practices, aligning methods, inputs, and documentation to satisfy auditors, regulators, and boards.
