In 2025, Valtech positioned itself as an “active valuer” in response to enhanced disclosure expectations for notifiable transactions. The firm was also appointed by one of the largest NGOs to perform LSP valuation in Hong Kong, incorporating workforce segmentation approaches and IAS 19 compliance considerations.

Valtech’s mobile application recorded new updates in May 2025, featuring expanded valuation tools, live chat, service catalogues, and anonymised case studies, alongside the formal launch of its mobile apps on Apple iOS and Google Play. AI agent Valerie was launched to provide general guidance (general valuation knowledge and information) on the mobile app and websites.

Additional tools and insights released during the year included a Property Rental Yield Calculator and thought leadership on expected credit loss (ECL) assessment using international default statistics.

In 2024, Valtech’s notifiable transactions valuation support continued to be featured on its website, alongside the publication of its structured products valuation services, including Fixed Coupon Notes (FCNs), with coverage of IFRS 9, IFRS 13, and US GAAP.

The firm also published content on Long Service Payment (LSP) valuation under new legislation, responding to evolving regulatory requirements.
Operationally, Valtech ramped up its actuarial valuation capacity and developed an in-house actuarial programme for valuing defined benefit obligations using the projected unit credit method. During the year, Valtech’s clientele further expanded beyond commercial entities to include universities and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

In 2023, Valtech escalated its research commitment to support quick assessments for fast-growing startup companies, addressing the needs of early-stage and innovation-driven enterprises. Valtech is proud to witness the successful fundraising achievements of some of those startups. The firm also launched and updated its SP/LSP calculator, supporting employers in workforce-related assessments.

During the year, Valtech provided valuation support for Hong Kong listed-company notifiable transactions, referencing HKEx guidance issued in Q4 2023, with sector coverage including energy, virtual assets, and healthcare.

To strengthen regional coverage, Valtech established its Singapore office, forming a dual-hub model with Hong Kong to serve the Greater China and Southeast Asia markets.

In 2022, Valtech launched an application for public use, positioned as an app ecosystem that provides reference materials, valuation tools, and a gateway for client engagement. Valtech also became an active valuer in biotechnology and technology startups. The web app is now combined and upgraded as naive IOS and Android Apps.

Since 2021, Valtech has been ISO 9001 certified in valuation advisory services, reinforcing its commitment to quality management and professional standards. The firm also completed a valuation engagement referenced by a NASDAQ-listed Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC). The ISO 9001 audit was performed by SGS, a globally recognised certification body. The firm acquired client in banking sector.

By 2020, Valtech’s client base had grown significantly, with the number of listed-company clients exceeding 100, reflecting strong market recognition and repeat engagement by public companies. On the same year, Valtech implemented an ERP and CRM system for efficient recording its valuation engagements. The project management capabilities were significantly improved.

In 2019, Valtech completed a purchase price allocation (PPA) for a multinational client’s overseas acquisition of a utility company in Australia, demonstrating cross-border transaction capability. During the same year, the firm expanded into risk consulting, providing services in internal control review, enterprise risk management (ERM), and corporate governance advisory.

Valtech Valuation was established in 2018, marking the beginning of its professional valuation advisory practice. In its inaugural year, the firm handled its first virtual-asset-related valuation engagement and completed valuation assignments across mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, and solar power projects. The Valtech website was also launched, establishing its early digital presence.
