Valtech has successfully conducted various valuations in mining sector including copper and gold mines, and a coalbed methane extraction project for listed companies on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (HKEx) for disclosure purpose and providing objective evidence that supports decision making.

In October 2023, The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEx) published a guidance letter (the "Guidance Letter”) outlining the disclosure gaps identified in transaction circulars from their previous vetting. The Guidance Letter underscores the need for listed companies to provide adequate explanation of the basis of determining the consideration of the transaction by disclosing in the transaction announcement sufficient and objective information with quantitative inputs and analysis to substantiate how the consideration was arrived at.
Valtech’s valuation team has recently completed business valuation for a biological asset project in Shandong Province. This project presented unique challenges and opportunities, as we adopted Hong Kong Accounting Standard 41 – Agriculture(“HKAS41”) to assess the fair value of our client's wheat crops, aligning our practices with internationally recognized accounting guidelines.
